Maine Coon - Honeymoon

Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii

Seems expensive but I've never been to Hawaii and always wanted to go. The 'affordable' room are typical disney rooms but the area looks beautiful. They have numerous pools and beach locations. I think we'll be spending quite a bit of time exploring the beauty of Hawaii.

Maine Coon - Cake and More Cake

Cake

This cake was made by Dream Cakes in California for Girl vs Food. I love the idea of having a cake to cut into and cupcakes for the guests to eat. Not everyone like cake so if there are cupcakes I think it's easier for people to pass on the 'cake' or just have a bit and maybe eat more of the other yummy dessert options.


Cake Favors

I found these mini cakes on Adventures in Wedding Planning by MasterPiece Weddings, unfortunately it was part of a style board so I don't know who made them, but I like the idea of guests having their own mini cake to take home from the reception. I would like the flowers to look more like the ones on the wedding cake but I'd leave the green bow detail because it makes the cakes seem even more like a gift.

Maine Coon - Reception Style

This is the absolutely perfect table style for my wedding, I found it here at Celebrations Party Rentals. The green table cloth is perfect for my informal backyard wedding and the orange napkins give just a punch of color. I have no idea what kind of flowers these are but I like them too!

Obviously you have to picture this table outside over a beautiful green lawn.

I found this location because their card was on a bulletin board with a picture (see below) of their lawn overlooking the water. I think that this is the perfect spot for an intimate outdoor wedding.

I tried to find something that looked simple and flirty. This is a backyard wedding in someone else's backyard so it doesn't make since for me to wear a ball gown.

I love gerber daisies so I'm using them again, but this time I'll also mix in a few other flowers. This bouquet uses white flowers and roses both of which I'd swap out for peach peonies.

Maine Coon - Invitations

I tired to find an invitation that incorporated both of my colors but I couldn't find anything quite right for the job. This invite is from wedding paper divas called dandelion dream. I was looking for something that obviously was in my color theme but more importantly something that I actually like and fit the feel of my wedding. I think guests would be confused if I had chosen some fancy, formal invite and they show up to a wedding that is essentially a 'backyard wedding' (just not in my actual backyard.) 50 invites will run you about $109.50

Maine Coon - Inspirations

If you've been wondering at all why I named my August wedding Maine Coon, it's because of this pretty girl. Molly is a maine coon who happens to have been born in August. She's smart and beautiful and her coloring gave me the inspiration for this month's wedding. Her coat has this beautiful peachy tint to it and her eyes are a light peridot (perfect combination.) I will try to find a picture where you can see her coloring better, but in the mean time I hope you enjoy this adorable pose because it's one of my favorites!

This song by Taylor Swift gets my vote for best parent dance. I can just picture me dancing with my dad, and mark dancing with his mom, and then everyone coming onto the floor at the end.
